EndNote: importing a Mendeley library
There are two ways to import a Mendeley library into EndNote.
RIS
- Open your Mendeley library.
- Click File > Export All > RIS - Research Information Systems (*.ris).
- Save the file.
- Open your EndNote library.
- Click File > Import > File.
- A pop-up window appears. Choose the file you just exported from Mendeley. Select "Reference Manager (RIS)" in the dropdown menu after "Import Option:". Click "Import".
- Your Mendeley library is imported into your EndNote library.
EndNote XML
- Open your Mendeley library.
- Click File > Export All > EndNote XML - EndNote v8, X1 to X3 (*.xml).
- Save the file.
- Open your EndNote library.
- Click File > Import > File.
- A pop-up window appears. Choose the file you just exported from Mendeley. Select "EndNote Library" in the dropdown menu after "Import Option:". Click "Import".
- Your Mendeley library is imported into your EndNote library.
